CHNC challenge 75: a right royal purple

We're still enjoying our break in Eastbourne and are looking forward to the local celebrations to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. I haven't done any crafting at all this week, but prepared most of this post before I left home, including my card for this challenge.

Once again during this week there have been lots of lovely cards showing various forms of Christmas foliage - lovely to see regulars taking part and also to welcome some newcomers - hope we'll see more of your creations in the weeks to come.

This weekend is a special one in the UK as the country celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 1  - I just about remember the day that we all got together in the Methodist hall at the top of my Nan's road. All the children were presented with mugs to celebrate the coronation of our queen and all the school children in Essex were given a book. I no longer have the mug, but I do still have the book. So I've chosen a royal colour for today's challenge.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 74. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 16: Sue W
who shared this lovely card

Congratulations, Sue! Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your $9 gift certificate from Shelly's images.

Challenge 75

For today's challenge I'm asking you to use some purple - a little or a lot, it's up to you!

Today's challenge is being generously sponsored once again by Whoopsi Daisy - the randomly-picked winner will receive their choice of two sheets from Linnie's Whoopsi Daisy shop.

Whoopsi Daisy Digi Stamps features all hand drawn images by the amazing Linnie
and specialises in cute images of children.
Whoopsi Daisy offers a great deal for your money.
Take a look at the
where you are certain to find awesome images which will fit all your creative needs.

For my card I've used some paper from the My Craft Studio beautiful baubles collection that I got some time ago with Making Cards together with a Kanban topper that I've had for ages - just a strip of glittered gold down the side and the card was done - more details on My Crafty Outlook here.

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please use the colour purple - a little or a lot, it's up to you.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday8 June.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 9 June.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

Please remember also to have a look at my CHNC page on facebook - if you do go there please join in by clicking 'like' so that I know that you've been there. During the week you'll find updates and hints of the next challenge - please feel free to chat there - I know that some of you do already - thank you.
