CHNC challenge 66: Get sentimental

A big thank you to all the faithful Christmas crafters who entered last week's challenge. I think the lovely UK sunshine has made some abandon thoughts of making Christmas cards, but it's quite scary to note that a quarter of the year has now gone and it's less than nine months till Christmas day. Perhaps the cooler weather that's supposed to be coming back to the UK after the weekend will turn our thoughts once more to making Christmas cards. And, of course, it's lovely to see crafters from all parts of the globe taking part.

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge blog now has a facebook page, - thank you to all those who have joined in - I would loveo see more of you there and please 'like' it - the more the merrier and word of the challenges will spread. And sometimes I'll give a hint or two of an upcoming challenge - just keep an eye on it for any up-to-date news.

Before I get on to today's challenge, I need to let you know the winner of challenge 65. Unfortunately, there could only be one winner and this is the result of using random.org:

Number 4: Elliewee (Helen)
who shared this lovely card:

Congratulations, Helen! Please email me at hazelharris@ntlworld.com so I can arrange for you to claim your digital images from The Crafty Pad.

Now we move on to today's challenge:

Challenge 66

For today's challenge I'm asking you to 'get sentimental' - use a sentiment/greeting on your Christmas card.

This week's challenge is being sponsored by Ooh la la Creations - the randomly-chosen winner will be able to select any CD from their range (worth £14.99) - you'll find it difficult to choose, because they are all so lovely.

I've made two simple cards for this challenge, both with striped backgrounds, the second one has a decoupaged topper  - you can read more about my card on my regular crafting blog My Crafty Outlook here

Now it's over to you. As usual, you can use any materials, any techniques, as long as the end result is a Christmas card - and this week please make sure that you add a sentiment/greeting somewhere on your card.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual post where your card can be found) by 22:00 UK time Friday 6 April.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation.

You can enter as many times as you wish (a good way to build up your stock of Christmas cards) and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.

A new challenge will be set on 7 April.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.
